DRAKOPOULOS partner Adrian Roseti and of counsel Ioannis Giannakakis were the keynote speakers at the event titled “Beyond Compliance: Turning NIS 2 into a strategic advantage”, held by the Hellenic Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce (HRCC) on 8 March 2025, in Bucharest.
The event brought together business leaders keen on exploring the impact of the NIS 2 Directive on corporate governance and cybersecurity.
Adrian and Ioannis delivered an in-depth analysis of the Directive, highlighting its strategic importance to CEOs and senior management. They provided valuable and practical guidance on how to strengthen organisational resilience, ensure regulatory compliance and adopt proactive measures to effectively address cybersecurity risks.
The NIS 2 Directive sets out a framework of cybersecurity measures focused on risk management, requiring organisations to conduct ongoing risk assessments, implement both technical and organisational measures – such as access controls and firewalls – and establish protocols for identifying, reporting and handling security incidents.
