Iliya Grozdanov at the Renewable Balkans 2024 Conference

Iliya Grozdanov, partner at Dinova, Rusev & Partners Law Firm, will take part as moderator in the Renewable Balkans 2024 conference to be held in Bucharest on 22nd November.

Iliya will moderate the panel “Renewable energy in the Balkans: focus on Bulgaria”. The panelists will explore the strategies and actions required for Balkan countries to leverage the region’s vast energy potential. Discussion will include the emergence of long-term Power Purchase Agreements for wind energy and the involvement of new players in the region. Additionally, the panel will address the potential implementation of two-sided Contracts for Difference auctions to reduce costs for governments and society.

The panel will also examine the progress made since last year towards the introduction of offshore wind in the Black Sea and whether countries have clear and effective plans to secure vital systems such as ports, marinas, and infrastructure.
