Drakopoulos attended the 4th Effective Dialogue Conference, “Disruption or Destruction,” held in Athens on 24 September 2026.
The conference brought together representatives from the business community, academia and civil society to explore the complex challenges arising from rapid global change and to examine the fine line between creative disruption and systemic collapse.
The discussions focused on five key areas shaping today’s business and institutional environment: the climate transition and the shift from ESG theory to practice; the impact of artificial intelligence on human judgement and decision-making; truth, information and trust in an era of misinformation; social and democratic tensions surrounding inequality and governance; and the evolving role of business and institutional leadership in times of uncertainty.
The conference highlighted the importance of moving beyond simple solutions and creating space for meaningful, informed dialogue around the challenges and opportunities brought by change.
As change continues to reshape societies, institutions and businesses, effective dialogue remains an essential tool for understanding its impact and turning uncertainty into constructive opportunities.
