Drakopoulos Participates in the Sustainability Forum 2026 in Athens

SELA member Drakopoulos participated in the Sustainability Forum 2026, held in Athens on 2 October and organised by GLOBAL SUSTAIN, a leading organisation in sustainability, responsible investing and the green economy.

The Forum brought together leading representatives and experts from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, the Bank of Greece, the EBRD, the European Commission, and the private sector to discuss key developments shaping the sustainability agenda.

This year’s programme focused on sustainability leadership, the future of energy, the next generation of sustainability talent, and how SMEs can become “deal-ready” by integrating ESG considerations into their business strategies.

A key message emerging from the discussions was that sustainability is moving beyond reporting and compliance. It is increasingly becoming a strategic tool that influences how businesses engage with stakeholders, manage their value chains and position themselves for investment.

As highlighted by Drakopoulos, a well-designed sustainability strategy can go beyond regulatory requirements — supporting business resilience, strengthening investor confidence and contributing to long-term value creation.

SELA is pleased to highlight the continued engagement of its members in important discussions shaping the future of sustainable business and investment across the region.
