BDV Law Firm, has successfully advised Adris grupa d.d. on a landmark transaction introducing Croatia’s first framework for EFET-style Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs).
Led by partner Laurenz W. Vuchetich and senior associate Luka Orešković, the BDV team structured and negotiated both intra-group arrangements and third-party agreements with renewable energy buyers. This innovative framework provides a flexible template adaptable to different offtaker profiles, making it the first comprehensive CPPA model developed under Croatian law.
The transaction represents a watershed moment for Southeast Europe’s renewable energy sector. By enabling Croatian corporations to directly procure electricity from renewable sources through standardized EFET-style contracts, this deal not only supports Adris grupa’s decarbonization strategy but also paves the way for broader corporate participation in the energy transition.
This achievement underscores BDV Law Firm’s position at the forefront of energy law innovation in Southeastern Europe, strengthening SELA’s regional footprint in advising on market-shaping transactions.
