Recently, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, hosted a workshop on “EU Sustainability and Diversity Standards – Opportunities for the Textile Industry and Fashion Designers”, organized by INŠTITUT IRDO, aimed at addressing key topics for all stakeholders in the textile and fashion sector.
Milica Pešterić, partner at D2P, focused on regulatory aspects of sustainability and the alignment of EU legislation with domestic law. The workshop covered topics such as:
• international sustainability standards and their implementation in Serbia, with a focus on the fashion sector
• ESG in the fashion industry
• green claims and product passports
• textile waste management and extended producer responsibility (EPR)
• labor rights of textile workers
• intellectual property protection
