PROF. DR. GEORGE DIMITROV, HEAD OF DIMITROV, PETROV & CO.’S INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES PRACTICE GROUP, AND DESISLAVA KRUSTEVA, HEAD OF THE PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION PRACTICE GROUP PARTICIPATED IN THE GOOGLE CEE LEGAL BOOTCAMP WHICH TOOK PLACE ON THE 13TH AND 14TH OF SEPTEMBER 2017 AT GOOGLE’S WARSAW OFFICE.
The meeting gathered all members of the Google CEE Legal Hub – highly reputable law firms and lawyers with exclusive expertise in the ICT, data protection and innovations, among which Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. Law Firm.
Google CEE Legal Hub currently covers 19 jurisdictions and combines the efforts of Google’s in-house legal team and the external legal advisers to whom Google entrusts to deal on a day-to-day basis with the legal and regulatory challenges for its innovative business and technology projects for Central and Eastern Europe. Among the discussed topics were issues related to the liability of ISPs, the present and future of the data protection regulations, the GDPR, the legal challenges with fake news and hate speech restrictions and the benefits from AI for the legal profession. Prof. Dr. Dimitrov spoke of the civil liability of ISP’s in Bulgaria and Ms. Krusteva took part in presenting the Hub’s best practices.
