ZOYA TODOROVA, PARTNER AND HEAD OF THE CORPORATE LAW, M&A AND COMPETITION LAW PRACTICE GROUPS AT DIMITROV, PETROV & CO. LAW FIRM, RECENTLY ACHIEVED YET ANOTHER RECOGNITION THROUGH AN INVITATION TO JOIN THE EUROPEAN REGIONAL FORUM (ERF) OF THE INTERNATIONAL BAR ASSOCIATION (IBA) AS A COUNCIL MEMBER FOR BULGARIA.
The European Regional Forum was established in 1989 with the original intention to focus on the work of the IBA in developing the practice under the changing legal systems of CEE. Since 2004, however, the ERF has not only strengthened the European presence of the IBA but has become an active disseminator of professional know-how to assist the committees and other constituencies of the IBA to increase their presence in the different neighbouring regions of Europe, including parts of North Africa and the Middle East.
The Council members are the national representatives of the Forum who have the task to implement the ERF business plan in their jurisdictions in consultation and cooperation with the officers. That is why the invitation to Zoya Todorova comes as a particular acknowledgement of her work.  Becoming a Council Member, she shall be able to initiate various national or cross-border activities in cooperation with Council Members in other countries, and to contribute to enhancing the relationship between the national bar association and the IBA.  Zoya Todorova is a member of Sofia Bar Association and has extensive expertise in the area of Corporate Law, M&A and Competition Law. She is highlighted as a leading lawyer by the IFLR 1000 and is a recommended expert by The Legal 500.
