The event was jointly organized by Dimitrov, Petrov & Co., the international construction lawyers of Corbett & Co., England, and Ms. Adriana Spassova – the sole accredited FIDIC adjudicator and trainer in Bulgaria.
The seminar took place on March 29, 2018. The speakers were Mr. Metodi Baykushev and Ms. Boyana Milcheva of Dimitrov, Petrov & Co., Mr. Taner Dedezade of Corbett & Co. and Ms. Adriana Spassova. They presented different aspects of the amendments to the FIDIC contracts.
Mr. Metodi Baykushev, Head of the Public Procurement Practice Group and of the Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. spoke on the specifics of arbitration in construction disputes. Ms. Boyana Milcheva, Head of the Construction Law Practice Group and the Tax Law Practice Group at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. detailed on the Particular Conditions under the new contract suite.
Mr. Taner Dedezade of Corbett & Co. presented an overview of the amendments with highlights on key takeaways and Ms. Adriana Spassova lectured on the new FIDIC Dispute Avoidance/Adjudication Boards.
The seminar was attended by representatives of leading Bulgarian construction companies who, in addition to being presented with key insights into the latest amendments to the FIDIC Suite of Contracts, had the chance to exchange valuable professional experience.
